About Us

Ivy Designs is a small business owned and operated by Vicki Ivy. I've been designing websites since 1994 when I was trained in HTML and web design by a master webmaster. In those days everything was done using the HTML language and the internet speed was a whopping 14.8 if you were really lucky and the access charge was per minute provided by AT&T. A lot has changed since then in just 10 years and I must say they are to the better overall.

My design philosophy is to keep it "clean and simple." There is nothing more frustrating than to go to a website that is great to look at, but difficult to navigate through. Your information should be presented as simply as possible in an eye catching manner. I can, at your request throw in all the bells and whistles if that is what you want....but honestly you might be happier with a webmaster who loves to make those types of sites. However, if you like my web style design then you will go with the clean cut, easily navigatable presentation that is the reason my current website customers have chosen me as their webmaster. I am proud of the websites that I have designed but if after I've designed the site you wish to change to another webmaster I will do all that I can to facilitate a successful transfer of your site. Since our permanent relocation in Oregon I have since re-acquired several of my previous customers including one online store that I restored to it's original design per the client's request. He wanted his easy to use, uncluttered website back after having it re-designed by two other webmasters with all the bells, whistles and an extremely sophisticated shopping cart. I enjoy the challenge of designing new websites whether it's just a page or two for someone wanting to sell their house, a multi-page shopping cart site or a real estate web site. I've designed websites for customers and trained them to take it over themselves. I hope to hear from you if "my style" is what you're looking for in a website.
